Cookie Policy
Effective Date: April 8, 2026
GovFinTech Inc dba i2m (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar browser technologies only as needed to operate the i2m Finance platform securely. We do not use cookies for advertising, retargeting, or other marketing purposes, and we do not sell data collected through cookies.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser. We also use comparable technologies such as encrypted cookies and server-side session storage tied to a session identifier in your browser. These help the application remember that you are signed in, protect against cross-site request forgery, and keep multi-step security flows (such as two-factor authentication) working correctly.
Cookies and Technologies We Use
The table below describes cookies and similar storage used by i2m Finance.
| Name / Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| _i2m_finance_session | Session cookie set by our application. Stores your signed-in state, protection against forged requests, selected district context, in-progress MFA and security-setup steps, and related session data. Required for the application to function. | Session (browser close) or until sign-out / session expiry |
| user_session_token | Encrypted, HttpOnly device-session cookie. Identifies the browser/device so you can review and revoke active sessions in Settings. Cleared when you sign in again or sign out. | Until sign-out, device revocation, or cookie deletion |
| remember_user_token | Set only if you check Remember me on sign-in. Lets our application keep you signed in across browser restarts without re-entering your password. Removed when you sign out. | About two weeks of inactivity, extended when you use the site |
| ahoy_visit | Operational analytics cookie. Associates activity with a short-lived visit for signed-in users—for example, dashboard “who is online” presence. Not used for marketing. | About 4 hours |
| ahoy_visitor | Operational analytics cookie. Distinguishes returning browsers for the same operational visit tracking described above. Not used for marketing. | About 2 years |
If you are inactive while signed in, our application may sign you out after a period of inactivity. Signing out clears remember-me and device-session cookies where applicable.
Third-Party Cookies on Sign-In
On deployed environments, the sign-in page may load Cloudflare Turnstile to help prevent automated abuse. Cloudflare may set its own cookies or use similar technologies when that widget runs. Turnstile is used for security on the login form only—not for marketing or advertising. See Cloudflare’s privacy documentation for details on their cookies.
We do not load Google Analytics, Meta/Facebook pixels, ad networks, or similar marketing trackers in i2m Finance.
What We Do Not Use Cookies For
- Advertising, remarketing, or audience profiling
- Cross-site tracking for marketing purposes
- Selling or sharing cookie data with data brokers
- Student-targeted marketing (we do not store student data in this platform)
SMS two-factor authentication is delivered through our messaging provider (e.g., Twilio) when enabled; that delivery is separate from browser cookies. See our Privacy Policy for how mobile numbers are handled.
Managing Cookies
You can control cookies in several ways:
- Sign out to end your session and clear session-related cookies.
- Do not select “Remember me” if you do not want a persistent sign-in cookie.
- Revoke devices in Settings → Devices to invalidate device-session tokens associated with your account.
- Browser settings let you block or delete cookies. Blocking required cookies will prevent you from signing in or using secured features.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when our use of cookies changes. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version.
